We had to celebrate our beautiful new office in Seattle’s Georgetown. It was a rare sunny fall day in Seattle and everything felt just right.
It’s been a joy designing this place, seeing it come to life, having our workers move in, and then christening it with some bubbly, snacks, and of course, art. We’re StoryBuilt – how could we not have a talented artist on hand to make this space truly our own?
Artist and graphic designer Thiago Lopes came on the scene with a plan and some paint and our own Senior Graphic Designer, Becky, as on hand to help. Thiago designed a mural that is going to be loved for a long time. Our space is intentionally muted as far as colors go – we wanted to let the shapes and light do the talking – but we had one enormous blank wall that we were itching to fill. Thiago put in everything that makes Seattle special from our architecture to our precious Puget Sound to our amazing giant pink Kraken that lurks beneath the waves and only shows herself on special occasions to the absolute right people. (Yes, we’ve seen her.) We are so lucky to have seen it all in progress.
It was a lovely, dreamy, happy evening in Georgetown. We can’t wait to host more events.
